A Card for a Fisherman

A card order /request this week for a man who has a special birthday who is a keen fisherman. The request was for one of my Character cards.

Using the Cricut Everyday Paper doll cartridge, I cut the main character and fishermen's clothing.

I cut the fishing rod out in black, light grey and brown cardstock. The grey section was the base, the black section has the line removed only and the brown section had the line and reel removed. All three sections were glued together which made the rod more sturdy.

White card was cut and layered onto green card as the base of the card. A small strip of blue card was fixed across the bottom on the card for the water.

Using Sizzix 'Grass' extended Decorative strip , I cut two sections of grass, both parts were cut in half. Two sections were glued to the base card on the blue section above and below where the joins are , the additional strips were attached using 1mm 3d foam pads.

The fisherman was positioned between the two grass layers.

Three fish were cut and attached together using a black brad to the hand of the fisherman.

A personalised message was printed and fixed to the top of the card to finish.

Lets hope Ray had a great special birthday.
