60th Birthday Celebrations for a Singing Teacher

A request received from a lovely lady who had seen my cards and was looking for a musical card for her singing teacher for a special Birthday.

The request was for a piano based card.

Using the Cricut machine and 'Quarter Note' cartridge I cut the piano section in black card twice then white card for the keys section. The background of the piano was cut using light brown card stock. The scroll music piece was created using the Cricut Gypsy machine welding circles and rectangles to create the shape. This was cut twice in white card and I hand drew the music paper and notes. I arced the pieces and glued using 3d foam pads to retain the curved shape.

The personalised message was printed onto ivory card stock and matted onto light brown and black card stock. Musical notes were cut from the Sizzix musical notes thin dies from black and brown card stock.  The piano shape was matted onto ivory card stock on a decorative rectangle cut from a Spellbinders die.

To add detail to the piano section , the second piano cut was cut at the keyboard section,  top section and the feet sections were cut, these cut pieces were added to create dimension to the main image. The message and piano topper were matted onto backing paper (scroll music) and fixed to the base card.
