Gerald the Giraffe - Felt kit

So after a visit to  Alexandra Palace last Saturday 9th April, I saw some lovely felt creature creations on the House of Zandra stall. The main problem was there was so much much choice and it was hard to choose. I had to choose the Giraffe really, but I was tempted with so many.  The kits also came beautifully packaged.
I cut all the pieces out the felt sheets, the instructions were  detailed and easy to follow. the only stitch used is blanket stitch and the felt is very good quality and everything was included in the kit even the needle. thread and toy stuffing.
Following the pattern I attached the pieces as directed . I did end up unpicking the neck to stuff a bit more as his neck did wobble slightly .
This was a thoroughly enjoyable project something different for me and easy to do in front of the television at night.  I'm just wondering now which character to order next.

Another cat card creation

Another cat card creation using my new machine and images found on line.

I cut the four cat images out of black card stock.
I borrowed an paw print embossing folder form the lady I work with to create the embossed paw print background at the top section of the card.

I stamped 'birthday wishes' using black ink onto plain white card stock..
To hide the join in the card I attached a section of black grosgrain ribbon with a diamante silver buckle . This was matted onto blue glitter card.

Photo corners where cut in both black and blue glitter cad stock and attached to each corner.

The cut cat images where attached above the ribbon to finish.

A cat of a birthday card

Well I finally took the plunge and treated myself to a new cutting machine.  I'm still learning all the functions and it will take me a time to learn this and Inkscape , but  this was one of my first creations.

I took a cat image from  the Internet and cut the image from white card stock.

From a black square of card I cut the words Happy Birthday Jo and added a shadow to the lettering to cut out also. I then attached the white cut card to the black card creating the silhouette  image . I then attached a white backing card that the words were attached to this.

A paw print image was taken form the Internet and cut four times from white card. Black card was attached behind and both pieces where then cut to create triangle photo corners, these where then matted onto silver glitter card.
The main card was matted onto both silver and black card to finish.
