Would like wish my customers & all those who have encouraged me through the year a very Merry Christmas & best wishes for the New Year

Leaving Card - shoes

Unusual request this time - not my choice of message on the front but I'm sure the recipient will find the funny side of it - this inside message was lovely though.

Another card for an employee of Kodak as she leaves the Company.

The shoes were cut out using my Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutting machine and the sizzlet die set shoes.

The shoes were cut from cork material, black glossy card stock and silver glitter card. The pieces were fixed together. All the shoes were matted onto white card and then black and finally a silver mirror card to finish the squares off.

A black and silver glittered card stock was matted on to black card and fixed to the base card.

The four panels were fixed using 1mm 3d foam pads.

The personalised message was printed (Pauline it truly wasn't my idea) and matted onto the same black and silver mirror card and fixed across the centre of the card, faux brads from Craftwork cards were fixed on the message panel.

The message inside was

B = Beautiful
I = intelligent
T = Tenacious
C = Charming
H = Humorous
We will Miss you loads!!

All the Best Pauline for the future.

On Your new Journey Leaving Card

A card request for a staff member of Kodak who leaves the company today.

The card was created using Kanban 'Car stamps' set , I coloured in the image using promarker pens and stamped the spare wheel again and cut the section out and layered the wheel using 1mm 3d foam pads. Large brad crystals where added to highlight the headlights section.

The coloured image was matted onto a scalloped  circle cut using Spellbinder scalloped circle die set.

An easel style card was created and a personalised message printed and matted onto orange card stock.

All the best Ruth for the future.

Musical Trio Christmas Card

This card was created using an acryclic stamp of three snow people,  stamped onto white card stock and coloured in lightly using promarker pens. Faux black stitches were hand drawn round the edge. The coloured image was then matted onto both blue and brown cardstock.

Using a musical note background card and another scroll background, both pieces were matted onto brown cardstock. the musical note part was twisted and fixed and the edges cut where it over hung the base card. A brown ribbon was fixed across the card and a personalised message printed and matted onto blue and brown card.

The message and main image were fixed using 1mm 3d foam pads.

Pauline's Leaving Card

A request from a friend, for her special friend who leaves Kodak today after many years of working together and friendship - so an extra special card was required, the theme being drink!

This design was taken from Tumble Tizzy CD - from the decoupage section.

The page was printed direct form the CD, I didn't particularly like the scalloped background that was on the printout so I decided to cut the base section away from the background. All other parts were cut out and layered up using 1mm 3d foam pads.

I matted the decoupage bear and glass onto cream cardstock and then on a ruby red card stock.

The base section was again using cream card and brown striped cardstock (from Stampin Up range), a cream ribbon was attached across the join. The back section was matted onto red card and fixed to the base card.

A personalised message for Pauline was printed and matted onto red card and fixed to the lower striped section of the card.

I hope Pauline likes her leaving card and wish her well for the future.

50 years old and climbing a Mountain

A Special request this week for a card for a friends Brother in law who is 50 this month. He has recently done a walk to Mount Everest Base camp so this was the theme of his card.

Using the Cricut Gypsy and Everyday Paperdoll cartridge, I selected the mountain range image and using Mickey Font cartridge welded shadow lettering to part of the edge of the mountain in an upward direction.  A square was adapted on the Cricut Gypsy machine to create a flag pole and this was welded to the top of the mountain section. This main section was cut from dark grey card, this being the bottom layer. The mountain image was then copied and lowered and cut again in light grey card , this was the repeated and cut again using white card. The three layers were glued together to create a gradual variation in the mountain colour.  The mountain was then cut to fit the size of card used and the left over section was fixed behind the main mountain piece.

A map of the Himalayers was printed and an image of a walking boot was printed twice on to bazzill card stock. The map was cut and matted onto green cardstock. Light blue card was cut and matted onto green card and fixed to a 6" x 6" card.  The two mountain pieces were fixed to the base card.

Football Shirt Card - Watford FC Card

I was asked to make a specific 'football kit' card by a friend for her husbands birthday to include the kit colours for the team he supports.

I made this using my Cricut Create machine and the Cricut Gypsy. Cartridges used were Soccer and Disney - Mickey Font.

I used my Gypsy Device and selected the football shirt (from the Soccer Cartridge) and hid all the detail cut so I had a basic shirt shape, I then welded the shirt, boot (shadow feature) and ball (shadow). I positioned the name and numbers within the shirt, the font taken from Disney - Mickey Font. This was cut out using the main football shirt colour being yellow.

I also cut in black card the name and number again to insert in the main shirt once main cut completed.

The numbers were cut again out of red card slight smaller so when fixed the black acted as a shadow.

I cut the shirt again in the red bazzill card stock to add the sleeve and collar detail.

I cut 2 further boot shadows in white Bazzill card stock.

I cut the ball (detailed cut) and two boot (detailed cut) in bazzill black card stock. I attached the boots and football detail cuts over the relevant shadows.

The 2nd Boot was fixed on main shirt using 3d foam.

The banner was created using a Sizzix banner die, the greeting printed out on computer first and then cut from the die, two further banners were cut to create a shadow effect.

Gareth's Birthday Card

A card this time for a close friend.

The La Pashe Value range - Grease Monkey Car mechanic seemed an ideal card to create for this occasion.

The decoupage requires cutting out by hand, but I find this quiet relaxing doing a batch of cutting out and making up the cards later. The pieces were built up using 1mm 3d foam pads.

The image was mounted onto black card stock  and mounted further on to a green larger square which again had black card border, this was fixed to a white base card.
