Engagement Card

Another card created this week - this one an Engagement card.

This was created from Cricut 'Paper Doll Dress up' and 'Everyday Paper Dolls' Cartridges.

The outfits are not a set selection on the cartridges but a combination of the following, groom (white trousers), genie (mans shoes),  nativity2 (mans outfit), promboy (hair), genie (top of dress), career (main dress), pixy (ladies hair & head piece), promgirl (sash), bath (shoes).

I absolutely love these cartridges - it always makes me smile when I put all the pieces together and create little people.

Faces were created using sizzix transfers.

A personalised greeting was created, this and the figures were mattered on to layered card of cream, blue and gold to match figures outfits.

A small variation of this (created last year) were some place names for a Wedding, figures created as above but also created the back versions also so that place Name cards looked good from all angles.

9th Birthday Card

Last one for today....

Request was for a girl card, for a 9 year old who likes horses and cats...

Used a recently purchased stamp Strawberry Kisses 'Birthday Kitten' from Crafters Companion., as thought that was ideal for the request.

Stamped image and coloured in using both Promarkers and Flex Markers, as I wanted a lighter coloured image.  Mounted and layered on light blue and pink card stock.

Used my Cricut machine and Gypsy to cut balloons and incorporate the age within one balloon.

Phrase and recipients name typed and printed on card stock and punched out from small tag punch, pink shadow created.  Light blue and pink wire coiled round and attached to balloons, tied with a small ribbon and tags applied to hide the join.

8th Birthday Card

Another request - keeping me busy..

Request was for a card with skateboard or scooter theme with the recipients name on.

Couldn't resist plugging in the Cricut machine, and using  'Everyday Paper Dolls' cartridge. Little boy cut out at 3.5" additional blank head cut and dressed him accordingly. Skateboard cut 3 times and layered up to add detail. Phrase and name cut using Mickey Font, I welded the shadow part and glued the lighter blue letters to the shadow.

The boys face was created using Sizzix clear Stamps, stamped on plain head and again on plain paper. I cut the eyes out from the paper and glued into place on main head. I tend to cut a separate head out when using my paper doll cartridge and decoupage this on to body to add dimension.

Wardrobe Card

Another card made this week for a friend...

I stamped the wardrobe image twice from Little Claire Design stamps - 'Room with a view - Wardrobe'. Stamped the inside of the wardrobe from the same set above and coloured all images in using Promarker Pens.

I cut the door sections of the wardrobe so that they opened and then matted and layered the stamped image using spellbinder dies.

Assembled the wardrobe and the contents parts and decoupage the draw and pelmet section of the wardrobe to add dimension. Mini silver jewels applied for doors and draw handles.

Base card was stamped with phrase from stamp set - used Versamark stamp pad and white embossing powder.

Phrase then re stamped in black ink and matted and layered to match wardrobe section using spellbinders dies.

Rectangles of white, pink and silver card applied with pink ribbon attached and finished with a dress charm.

Football Shirt Card

Football Shirt Card

I was asked to make a specific 'football kit' card by a friend for her son's birthday to include the kit colours for the team he plays for.

I made this using my Cricut Create machine and the Cricut Gypsy. Cartridges used were Soccer and Disney - Mickey Font.

I used my Gypsy Device and selected the football shirt (from the Soccer Cartridge) and hid all the detail cut so I had a basic shirt shape, I then welded the shirt, boot (shadow feature) and ball (shadow). I positioned the name and numbers within the shirt, the font taken from Disney - Mickey Font. The shirt was cut at size 5inches high, the ball 1.35 inches and boot 1 inch high. This was cut out using the main football shirt colour.

I also cut in a contrast colour the name and number again to insert in the main shirt once main cut completed. The name font was approx 1 inch high and the number 1.5 inches high.
I  cut the shirt again in the blue bazzill card stock to add the sleeve detail.

I cut 2 further boot shadows in white Bazzill card stock.

I cut the ball (detailed cut) and two boot (detailed cut) in bazzill black card stock. I attached the boots and football detail cuts over the relevant shadows.

The 2nd Boot was fixed on main shirt using 3d foam.

The banner was created using a Sizzix banner die, the greeting printed out on computer first and then cut from the die, two further banners were cut to create a shadow effect.

I have since used this template twice more for other people in other teams colours.

Anniversary Card

Welcome to my new blog, this is my first post.

This is a card created this weekend using Lili Of The Valley Stamp and coloured in using Promarkers.
