The Tabard lady reaches 50

Time to make a card for my Directors wife, who is celebrating a big special birthday this month - and a keen rugby player.

Using my previous football shirt idea , I decided to tackle a Rugby shirt version, with the colours of the team Gaynor plays for.
I made this using my Cricut Create machine and the Cricut Gypsy. Cartridges used were Soccer and Disney - Mickey Font.
I used my Gypsy Device and selected the football shirt (from the Soccer Cartridge) and hid all the detail cut so I had a basic shirt shape, I then welded the shirt and boot (shadow feature) .  I didn't have a Rugby ball so I created an oval shape from a circle and welded this to the bottom left hand side  of the shirt.

I positioned the name and numbers within the shirt, the font taken from Disney - Mickey Font. This was cut out using the main football shirt colour being blue.

I also cut again in contrast colours red and yellow - the name and number to insert in the main shirt once the main cut was completed.
I cut the shirt again in the yellow and red card stock to add the collar and sleeve detail.

I cut 2 further boot shadows in white Bazzill card stock.

I cut  two boot (detailed cut) in bazzill black card stock. I attached the boots over the relevant shadows.
The 2nd Boot was fixed on main shirt using 3d foam.
For the main shirt section , following a photograph of the shirt I cut the sleeves and collar sections by hand .

For the detail across the middle I cut the red section first and then the yellow strip slightly smaller and layered these parts up. The red numbers were then fixed in to the base blue shirt and the name Gaynor cut from yellow card inserted in to the base shirt . The strip in the body was then fixed across the middle of the shirt and to finish the yellow number 50 was fixed over the red number using 1mm 3d foam pads. Most detailed shirt back I've done so far.
The ball (oval shape ) was cut in  white, red and yellow cardstock. The white section had the words 'Gilbert' and 'tabard'@ stamped onto it and the red and yellow sections were hand cut down to add detail.

The 'Happy' and 'Birthday' banners were  created using the Cricut Mickey Mouse font Cartridge and cut out from a white section of card, the letters were cut again in red card and inserted into the relevant sections.

The base card was 7" x 7" in size. The two word strips were added to the top and bottom of the card and matted onto blue card. A white section was added in between.

The shirt section was attached to part of the middle of the card.

Two Tabard Rugby  emblems were printed  and fixed to the centres of two  rosette's created and added to the white strip at the top of the card.
Let hope Gaynor has a great birthday and likes her fully personalised card.
