A Card for a Special Lady

A card required for a special lady celebrating a special birthday.

Using the Stampin Up Owl Punch , I created two owls using brown card for the main body and patterned papers from Lili of the Valley paper pads for the bodice. A small scalloped circle was cut in brown card and cut into quarters to create the owls wings. The facial features were punched out and fixed to the base of the owl.

A branch was cut and embossed in brown card and two sizes of leaves were cut and embossed using two shades of green card.

Using the Stampin up Bunting punch, I punched plain triangles in white card stock and the scalloped bunting in patterned card stock. The wording Happy 50th were cut from a extended Sizzix alphabet die.

Decorative photo corners were cut from both plain brown cardstock and the matching patterned card stock.

A personalised message 'A little bird told me its your Birthday'  was printed onto white cardstock and this was matted onto both Patterned card and brown card and fixed to the 8 x 8 inch card blank.

The bunting sections were puched with a small hole and thin twine thread through, the bunting was then attached using 1mm 3d foam pads. The photo corners were fixed using double sided tape to each corner.

Finally the main owl, branch and leaves were fixed to the middle section of the card, some of the leaves were attached using 3d foam pads to add dimension.

The additional owl was fixed to a plain circle, matted onto a brown scalloped circle and fixed to the back of the card to finish.
