Birthday Card

Card required this week for a special friend and godfather to our son.

Decided to try a bit of CD crafting - all new to me at the moment but used the Tumble Ted CD in the Serif Software.

The backing paper and main circle design of Tumble Ted and bottle top were imported into Serif software.

The backing paper was applied part way up the card with a white gap at the top, a light green border was added at the top of the backing paper. The circle design was punched out on software and applied on top of backing card, a shadow effect was added to the circle.

The bottle top was punched out as a circle on the software but then the scissor option was selected to cut the triangles out of the bottle top to make a zig zag edging, a shadow was also applied to the bottle top. The beer bottle circle was applied to the plain bottle top.

The wording was created and applied to the white panel at the top of card.

Although on the Serif software you can print the whole card out , I decided to use as a topper and mat and layered onto Green card, this was fixed to a black base card.

I don't think its too bad for a first attempt - but so much to learn yet with all the possibilities on the Serif Software.
