80th Birthday Card

Well Joyce, my husbands Godmother is 80 this month, so a special card was required to celebrate the occasion.

I cut the 'Happy 80th Birthday Joyce' out of cream card using the Cricut Gypsy and  Mickey Font Cartridge on the shadow lettering function, the letters were not used I retained the negative card to create the base of my card. The letters were cut out again in orange coordination card.

Using 'chocolate box coordination's' card I used brown with an orange core and cut the phrase again using the standard lettering, theses were all sanded down to show the orange core. The orange shadow size letters were inserted into the gaps on the cream card and mounted onto orange backing card, this was fixed to the main white base card. The sanded brown letters were fixed over the orange letters.

The cakes and candles were cut using Marianne Creatable die, cupcake. This was cut out of the brown, orange and white card. The coordination's card was again sanded down to show the core colour. Pearl beads where attached to the icing layer on the cakes to add detail.

Lets hope Joyce has a fantastic day.
