Andrew's birthday this week, as a keen walker I decided to use an image from the House Mouse Project Book and CD Rom that I was bought for
Christmas.
Using Project 23 in the book. I printed the 3 sheets out on to smooth white card
stock.
All the layers were cut out and layered up using 1mm 3d foam
pads, the ends of the shoe laces were glued down with paper glue as the parts are very
tiny. This was them matted onto black card stock using double sided tape.
Using a C5 shaped card, the backing paper with shoe laces was matted onto black card
stock and fixed to the base of the card using double sided tape.
A Happy
Birthday message was printed and layered onto black cardstock.
The main image and message were fixed to the card using double sided tape as the decoupage section already had numerous layers.

A Card for a LifeGuard
A request this week for a lifeguard card for a young man turning 18 next month.
Using the Everyday Cricut Cartridge I used the accessories from the Summer swimming section, I cut a base body and an additional head and appropriate hair style and colour to match the recipient of the card. .
The face was stamped on to the head part only using Sizzix faces stamps, this was stamped again onto white copier paper. The eye sections were cut out and glued to the head section, the head was fixed to the body using 3d foam to give a slight layered effect.
The rubber ring (taken from the Winter girl accessories) was cut out in two different coloured card stock and cut and glued together. The shirt was cut in yellow card stock and using red card I cut shorts, flip flops and a jacket.
The rubber ring hanging up was created using the Cricut Gypsy devise by welding circle shapes together to create 2 small loops to hang the ring up. Number 18 was position around the ring. This was cut out using both orange and white card stock. The white numbers was fixed into the negative circle and fixed from behind using double sided tape..
Using the Cricut Gypsy device I cut a square with curved edges from white cardstock and cut again this time with the inside section removed to create a border/frame.
The megaphone was cut using both red and yellow card, this was taken from the cheerleader section on the cartridge, the red section was cut and layered up on the yellow section to add detail.
The pool section was created using Colorcore Cardstock 'white wash collection'. Using my scoreboard I scored numerous lines in one direction and then turned the card and repeated in the other direction to create the squared embossed effect. I then sanded this section down to reveal the core colour, to create the effect of a tiled pool section. A plain thin strip was cut and sanded down to form the edge of the pool this was fixed using 1mm 3d foam pads..
I then printed some images that I had searched for through the internet 'deep end', 'Shallow end' and main pool signage. These were re sized as required and printed onto white bazzill card stock.
To add detail to the rubber ring I wound thin string round the ring and tied at the top. Using two white brads I fixed these to my white square to create hooks for my rubber ring to hang on. The rubber ring was fixed also with 1mm 3d foam pads to keep it in place.
The pool signage was matted onto red card stock.
The card was assembled using light grey card stock that was matted onto red card and fixed to the base card. The pool section was fixed to the bottom section of the card. The signage and hanging rubber ring were fixed to the base card using a combination of double sided tape and 1mm 3d foam pads. The lifeguard was position holding the megaphone with the other rubber ring positioned over his other arm.
Another card that made me smile when it was all put together. Lets hope Ben the lifeguard has a fab Birthday.

A Dedication Card
An unusual request this week for a Dedication card required for a small boy.
Not having much religious craft material I decided to go to La Pashe Best of 2012 CD that I purchased as this has a variety of craft material on it.
Using the 'Value decoupage Little Miracle' images I imported the document into my Serif software. I deleted the pink version and reduced the size of the blue option which I wanted to use. When I was happy with the revised size after a draft print, I printed the images onto white textured Bazzill card stock.
I cut the decoupage pieces and matted onto the main squared image using 1mm 3d foam pads.
I cut a scalloped square using my Spellbinders dies, I matted the main image onto a brown square to create a narrow border and them fixed this to the scalloped square shape.
Brown and blue background papers were selected from the 'Subtles Designer Pack' from Stampin Up range, these were joined together and a narrow strip of ribbon fixed across at the join, this background section was matted onto blue cardstock and fixed to the base card.
A personalised message was printed and matted onto brown card stock to contrast with the blue backing section. Both the message and the main topper were fixed to the card using 1mm 3d foam pads.
A Card for Matthew
Matthew is 12 - and is having a small get together with friends at the Saracens Rugby Game today, so the theme of his card was obvious.
Using Lili of The Valley Stamp 'Rugby Mad', I stamped the image onto white card stock using black Momento ink.
As Saracens play in black and red colours I used ruby red Promarker and ice grey 4 to colour the image in.
Using red and black glittered patterned papers I created a mixed background and placed a strip of black ribbon across the join. The backing papers were mounted onto black card stock and fixed to the base card. Decorative corners were cut using Die namics Photo corners dies to add detail to each corner.
A personalised message was printed and mounted onto the red patterned paper and then black card.
Lets hope they have a fab time, Matthew has a great birthday and obviously hope Saracens win.
A Card for George
This time a card for George who is 12 this month.
Using the Everyday Cricut Cartridge I used the images from the Basket Ball section, I cut a base body and an additional head and appropriate hair style and colour to match the recipient of the card. .
The face was stamped on to the head part only using Sizzix faces stamps, this was stamped again onto white copier paper. The eye sections were cut out and glued to the head section, the head was fixed to the body using 3d foam to give a slight layered effect.
The bag and water bottle were cut out in two different coloured cardstock and cut and glued together.
The shirt was cut in black and yellow card stock and the yellow section used to create a striped effect to match the Schools Sportswear. Plain black shorts and shoes were cut from black card and the shorts were edged in yellow card.
The number 12 was cut in black card stock and cut from a yellow circle using the Cricut Gypsy. The black numbers was fixed into the negative circle.
The racing track was create using the Cricut Gypsy, a circle shape was selected initially and the height and width changed independently to create an oval, this was copied and re sized 5 times to create a lane effect. the middle oval was cut from green cardstock representing the middle of the track and field area.
A personalised message was printed and matted onto green card stock. The racing track was fixed to a light blue card, which was then fixed to the base card.
The man and his accessories were fixed using double sided tape and1mm 3d foam pads.

'Laser Tag' Birthday Card
A birthday card required for a birthday boy having a laser tag party this week.
Using Cricut 'Every Day Paper Dolls' I cut out a body and head at 3.75 inches. I cut out trousers, shoes, a top and a body warmer. I cut a small square with rounded corners out of white and grey card to create the pad they fire at. The gun was cut from the 'Paper doll dress up' Cartridge. The glasses were cut from 'Every day Paper dolls Cartridge' using the skiers goggles but I cut round to made them narrower.
Using the Cricut Gypsy device I created a square with rounded corners and using Mickey Font Cartridge positioned the words Laser Tag round each edge. A black shadow background was created , the words laser tag were cut from black card four times and fixed into the spaces on the white square.
Happy Birthday was printed on the computer and cut and mounted onto black card and position coming out of the gun. Narrow strips of orange card were fixed as straps to the gun.
The face was stamped on to the head part only using Sizzix faces stamps, this was stamped again onto white copier paper. The eye sections were cut out and glued to the head section, the head was fixed to the body using 3d foam to give a slight layered effect. The glasses were fixed to finish.

Promarkers Wallets
Finally got some storage for my Promarker pens. I was fed up with spending more time looking for the right colour than I was colouring. I purchased 5 wallets by Letraset and organised all the colours, I just need to add ribbon to the zippers so I ca grab the right wallet without opening all five... Let the colouring commence.

Happy Birthday Wishes to Ayush
A Man United style card required for Ayush's birthday this year.
I made this using
my Cricut Create machine and the Cricut Gypsy. Cartridges used were Soccer and
Disney - Mickey Font.
I used my Gypsy
Device and selected the football shirt (from the Soccer Cartridge) and hid all
the detail cut so I had a basic shirt shape, I then welded the shirt, boot
(shadow feature) and ball (shadow). I positioned the name and numbers within the
shirt, the font taken from Disney - Mickey Font. The shirt was cut at size
5inches high, the ball 1.35 inches and boot 1 inch high. This was cut out
using the main football shirt colour.
I also cut in a
contrast colour the name and number again to insert in the main shirt once main
cut completed. The name font was approx 1 inch high and the number 1.5 inches
high.
I cut the shirt
again in the black bazzill card stock to add the collar detail.
I cut 2 further
boot shadows in white Bazzill card stock.
I cut the ball
(detailed cut) and two boot (detailed cut) in bazzill black card stock. I
attached the boots and football detail cuts over the relevant shadows.
The 2nd Boot was
fixed on main shirt using 3d foam.
The banner was
created using a Sizzix banner die, the greeting printed out on computer
first and then cut from the die, two further banners were cut to create a shadow
effect.
I have since used
this template previously for other people in other teams colours.

Mum & Dad Anniversary Card
Ok my Mum & Dads Anniversary coming up in March so time to make a special card for them.
I may regret my decision but decided an image from La Pasha Best of 2012 CD was ideal for my parents.
Using my 'The Best Of La Pashe' CD, I printed out the decoupage sheet with the Mobility Love couple. I cut out the layered parts and fixed together using 1mm 3d foam pads.
I didn't like the backing paper on the CD for this image so choose to use some striped paper from the Stampin Up Range of designer papers. I attached the striped papers to some cream card and fixed a cream ribbon across at the join.
Brown photo corners were cut using Die namics Photo corners dies to add detail to each corner.
A message was printed onto white card stock and matted onto the light brown card stock.
The image was matted onto brown card stock and fixed to the base section using 1mm 3d foam pads.
Well done Mum and Dad to 56 years of marriage.
A Card for Sam
Our Neighbours daughters birthday this week, so needed to make a card and decided to use one of the stamps purchased at the Stamperama Craft show last Sunday at Stevenage.
Using Stamping Bella 'uptown girl Posh has a present' stamp, I stamped onto white card stock using black Momento ink. I stamped the dress part again onto a patterned card stock, taken from 'Paris Girl Carta Bella' paper pad. I cut the dress section out from the patterned paper and left to one side.
I coloured the stamped image in using Promarker pens, omitting the dress section. The cut out dress section I fixed onto the coloured stamped image using double sided tape.
The coloured image was matted onto black card stock.
The background was created using a 6" x6" paper from the 'Paris Girl' pad and matted onto black card, corner sections were cut from black card using using 'Die namics Photo corners' dies
Small sections of backing paper were fixed across the backing card and a zigzag stamped over the edges to look like faux stitching.
The main image was fixed slightly slanted on the backing section using 1mm 3d foam pads.
A message was stamped onto white card stock and edged using Versa Magic Chalk ink 'Pink Petunia', this was also matted onto black card and fixed using 1mm foam pads.
