Smile Cupcake Birthday cards

August/September are busy months for the girlie Birthdays.

Every Girl/lady likes cupcakes.

I cut the birthday hat image out using a sizzix sizzlets die and cut from two coloured card stock - was a bit fiddle but switched the cut section to create two hats - one blue with brown inserts and one brown with blue inserts. I repeated this using Yellow and brown card stock to create the yellow based cards.

The muffin cake was cut out using Sizzix Original  die - Cupcake & ice cream - the icing part of the cupcake was edged using the colour 'London Fog' Momento ink pad.

Using Peachy Keen face stamps I added a cheerful face to each cake and stamped the mouth piece again onto red card stock, the mouths were cut out and glued into place on the main image

The cakes and hats were fixed together and mounted onto white card stock. These were then matted onto corresponding coloured card. With a fine black liner pen I went round the edge of the white card to add faux stitching detail.

Using 'Stampin Up' backing paper of dots and striped card the base of the cards were covered, a decorative border was cut from white card stock and fixed at the lower part of the card.   Contrasting ribbon was fixed across the top of the decorative strip to cover join.

A message was printed and fixed to the base of each card. Lets hope they all have or had a great Birthday.

A late request for a 1st Birthday card - so based on this design,  created a pink and cream card with appropriate message on to the front to cover the occasion.
