Chelsea Footie shirt card for Kean

Football birthday card request this month for a young boy who celebrates his 12th birthday and is a mad Chelsea football fan.

I made this using my Cricut Create machine and the Cricut Gypsy. Cartridges used were Soccer and Disney - Mickey Font.
I used my Gypsy Device and selected the football shirt (from the Soccer Cartridge) and hid all the detail cut so I had a basic shirt shape, I then welded the shirt, boot (shadow feature) and ball (shadow). I positioned the name and numbers within the shirt, the font taken from Disney - Mickey Font. The shirt was cut at size 5inches high, the ball 1.35 inches and boot 1 inch high. This was cut out using the main football shirt colour.
I also cut in a contrast colour the name and number again to insert in the main shirt once main cut completed. The name font was approx 1 inch high and the number 1.5 inches high.

I cut the shirt again in white bazzill card stock to add the sleeve and collar detail.

I cut 2 further boot shadows and a ball shadow in white Bazzill card stock.
I cut the ball (detailed cut) and two boot (detailed cut) in bazzill black card stock. I attached the boots and football detail cuts over the relevant shadows.

The 2nd Boot was fixed on main shirt using 3d foam.

The banner was created using a Sizzix banner die, the greeting printed out on computer first and then cut from the die, two further banners were cut to create a shadow effect. Corner sections were cut using Dianamics corner dies , there were cut from both blue and black card and matted and added to each corner to finish.

Makey Bakey Mouse sewing card

Time to make my sister a birthday card. as she is a keen seamstress, I couldn't resist using my new Makey Bakey Mouse CD from Crafters Companion

The main decoupage sewing image was printed out. each section was cut out and layered up using 1mm 3d foam pads. Note this is quite a layered card so if posting beware.

I matted the decoupage image on to black card stock.

Two backing papers were also printed out and cut and matted onto black card and fixed to the 6" x 6" base card. Black grosgrain ribbon was fixed across the join of the backing papers.

Three spool shapes were die cut in cream card, embroidery thread was wrapped round each to match the backing paper colours. The decoupage image was matted centrally on to the card using 1mm 3d foam pads. The spools were attached using silicon glue as they were slightly curved prior to fixing.

A small tab shape was cut and attached to one spool and using peel off sticker 'happy birthday' was attached.

Time for some Golfing cards

Requests for some Golfing themed cards, for birthdays and retirement.

Using the Cricut Paper dolls and Every day Cartridges , I selected initially the golfing images. All the bodies were cut at 3.5 inches height and each character dressed accordingly.

The golf clubs were created using narrow rectangles which were welded together using the Cricut Gypsy device.

Apparently the man who was retiring throws his clubs around when he doesn't play well hence why the juggling of golf clubs above his head and the grumpy face.

The green back ground was also created using the Cricut Gypsy, using a slanted number '0' from the Mickey Font Cartridge created the hole section and the top grass section was welded to the rectangle base shape. Fine grade sand paper was fixed to the base card and the green section fixed over using 1mm 3d foam pads to create a Bunker effect.

The phrase missed was printed and cut into a flag top and fixed to a strip of grey card to create a flag pole.

The ladies 60th birthday golfer card was created in a similar way but this time the bunkers created were using the numbers '60' , again slanted. As there were no female golf clothes on the Cricut cartridges I modified other clothing on the cartridge to match what lady Golfer's wear.

Finally the last card was created using the accessories on the cartridge, the golf bag, ball and the small Tee.

Lets hope the joint 60th birthdays and retirement celebration all went of well.
