A Cleaners Birthday Card

A request this week for a birthday card for a lady that does house cleaning.

The request was for one of my Cricut Doll style cards.

Using the Everyday Cricut cartridge I used some images from both the cook and bath sections, I cut a base body and an additional head and appropriate hair style and colour to match the recipient of the card. The brush was cut out two times in both cream and brown and the brush part was removed from the dark brown sections to leave just the handle, these were glued to the cream section. Two buckets where cut from the beach section and the top bucket  was curved and glued to the base using silicon glue to give a curved effect. The towels where cut at one end and slipped over the bucket section and over her arm.

The yellow Marigold style gloves were cut from Paperdoll dress up Cartridge.

The face was stamped on to the head part only using Sizzix faces stamps, this was stamped again onto white copier paper. The eye sections were cut out and glued to the head section, the head was fixed to the body using 3d foam to give a slight layered effect.

The embossed background was created using Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, embossed onto white card and matted onto light blue card stock. A white square was cut and matted onto blue card and fixed to the base card.

A personalised message was printed and cut into a circle shape using a hand punch and matted onto a scalloped circle cut on a Sizzix Big Shot Die cutting machine using Spellbinder scalloped circle die.
