A card request for a special Dad for Fathers day. The request was for a character card , with a man in a chair with pint of beer and his dog, I added the remote for fun as every male has control of the TV remote control.
The chair was actually the bed from the Everyday Dolls cartridge, this was cut out a few times to create the layered effect. The main body was cut out and he was dressed, but the trouser section was cut again and cut down to create the lower legs which were added using 1mm 3d foam pads to again add dimension and the effect of him sitting.
The beer glass was cut from a sizzlets die in shrink plastic, coloured with promarker pens and then heated to shrink to the appropriate smaller size.
The dog was cut out from black, brown and white card to create a mixed coloured dog.
Plain white card stock was embossed for the background and matted onto brown and black card. Decorative corners were cut to add detail.
A personalised message was printed and fixed to the base to complete.
