Nails Nails Nails Birthday Card

A card this time for Karen who celebrates her Birthday this month.

Karen runs a a Beauty Company and does my nails every month, so the theme of the card was quite easy too choose.

Using an Original Sizzix die 'Purse and Accesories', I cut out 15 nail varnish bottles. The lids were all cut in silver mirror card. the bottles were cut 15 times from clear acetate, and finally cut again in 15 different colours. The three sections were attached together using double sided tape. White squares were cut and placed over each bottle to act as a label and also to hide the tape.

The 'Happy Birthday' Message were cut using Sizzix sizzlets decorative strip die - Wingo Zingo Alphabet. the letters were attached to each bottle using PVA glue.

Two strips were printed and cut to create the effect of a shelf , these were glued to plain white card to add dimension.

A cream backing card was chosen and matted onto a dark pink card, this was fixed to an a5 sized card.

The shelves were positioned and fixed using 1mm 3d foam pads. The bottles were then positioned and fixed with both double sided tape and 1mm 3d foam pads.

Finally to decorate the top two corners, a set of false nails were purchased and fixed using silicon glue to finish.

The remaining two bottles were fixed at an angle to the back of the card.
