Knitted poppies to raise funds to support the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal

In August a request was made in our local estate newsletter. The Co-operative Funeral care were calling for knitters to create poppies to raise funds to support the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal.

They supplied the pattern and the wool, so I started knitting in September, the poppies were fairly quick and easy to knit , it was just the making up that took a while.

I have delivered the completed poppies back to the Funeral care and they hope to start selling them mid October.
